I do just feel for English or language teachers like my sister, who actually received during the first submission of her class' midterms, essays typed all in Jejemon language. She refused to grade any of them and they were forced to "translate" it to proper English if they wanted to pass her class.

I just hope that they DO know the English language and how to use it - more importantly when. If they want to email or text using such "creative expressions" it's all fine, except for school or godforbid their resume's.

Alex Maximo and Dean Rolando Tolentino were both understudies of Dr. Milagros Laurel of UP-CAL.

Jejenese has been around since the 90s actually, and back then, it was usually written in Comic Sans Serif. I had been fighting against it...until I encountered Dr. Laurel. I still dislike Jejenese but I have a deeper understanding of the users now. (I still teach my students never to use Comic Sans Serif when designing for professional brands, though.)

It just irritates me when haters just haphazardly heap together Jejemons and Leetspeakers. They just hate, with the desire to jump into the bandwagon, without knowing the difference. (Because I switch to leetspeak once in a while, especially when I'm within my gaming community.)
