My Tita Nana gave me this for Christmas last year.
This one’s Vetiver (vetivera herbacea), a crisp clean fresh scent “to avoid the stress and tensions of everyday life”, as the website copy says. The grassy fragrance of vetiver is blended with tangerine essential oils to create a “rich, sensuous, and more masculine Cologne.”
It’s made by Groupe Parfums Berdoues (parfumsberdoues.com), which was established in 1902 in Toulouse, France.
It’s a fuzzy picture, I know, taken with my cellphone camera, but I like the way the pixelation softens the image. The pale yellow morning sunlight streaming through matchstick blinds, the rose-themed boxes and ornaments, and the cologne bottle appear almost dreamlike and otherworldly.
