This is the Starbucks on the ground level of the mammoth Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
The store itself is quite small, barely big enough for a counter and merchandise shelves. Seating is outside, at tables with the familiar forest-green umbrellas.
The baristas are friendly even when busy. The security guard, bless his heart, is a real sweetie. He cleared our table of the debris left by the previous customers (is it even his job to bus tables?) and let me take a newspaper out without any fuss at all.
After a frantic couple of hours at National Bookstore buying school supplies with hordes of other back-to-school shoppers, it was a relief to be able to rest, read the paper, and wait for my daughter to get back from an anime convention, all for just the price of a cup of coffee.
